Mouse unresponding?

Hi all,

Since yesterday I have been having a problem in that when I am playing my game of TF2 the mouse will come unresponsive. To get it back working I need to unplug then reconnect. At first it kinda lags then cuts out.

Is this something with the mouse or the computer? I have installed the latest razer diamondback drivers but still have the same problems. Even in desktop it comes unresponsive.

i assume its conneced via usb?

if so i guess you could uninstall all usb ports via device manager, worth a shot.

Nah didnt work, still keeps stopping.

The red lights still on so still getting power, but it stops responding more often. Could it be a virus or something that avg hasnt picked up? Only started to happen in the last few days.

Thinking about it, my keyboard still is fine. So could it be the mouse that is going? It is almost 3 - 4 years old.

is it a decent brand that its made by or was it just a cheap one?

Its a razer diamondback. Its getting even worse now, when i plug it in it sometimes doesnt get recognised by the PC. And has started to not light up. Literally in the last 5 min. Is it a new mouse time?

edit...i believe the computer has confirmed my fears. It just popped up the USB divice has malfunctioned

So i guess it could be RIP razer diamondback

same thing happened with my bluetooth dongle once the pc says its broke thats it really
