Mouse wont work in Far Cry

Fancied a blast on Far Cry, so I installed it all fine.

I can start the game ok, and when in the menus the mouse works fine, but when you are actually controlling the character it doesnt work!

The controls for adjusting mouse sensitivity work, but only on the menus.]

What on earth is wrong?

An old bug I believe, I think the fix was to reset the mouse to defaults in the menu then it all worked? Something like that anyway
