Is the mighty mouse any good? I use design apps a lot and my mouse and died so I need a decent one. Much point spending more to get a mighty mouse?

I think that all the Apple mice are misshapen. I think that if you're to be using it all day you should invest in a decent ergonomically designed mouse.

If you use the right click at all don't get the mighty mouse. It has technically got one but I always find it hard to use when I need to.

I ordered a wireless bluetooth mighty mouse last night off the bay...

I think a microsoft mouse next to my white macbook would look pants :)

I had a play with the mighty mouse in-store yesterday and i was pretty impressed with the right click and i liked how you could squeeze it to open expose etc. But i do find the shape uncomfortable and for that reason i am sticking with my old faithful Logitech Dual Optical.

Pretty rubbish mice, really. If you need an accurate mouse for design work, something by Logitech will serve you far better.

Logitech MX518 / G5.

Perfect ergonomic fit, and much nicer to use over longer periods (than a Mighty Mouse)

Had a tablet in the past and it was pretty much useless. I use Flash the most and its fine for the design aspect but once you start coding you have to start using the mouse from time to time.

Might try the Logitech ones. Cannot find the Razer pro 1.6 one anywhere online in the UK.

I bought a wireless mighty mouse upon joining the apple club with my macbook, but I think I made a mistake, I like the nipple and the squeeze buttons at the side, but I'm thinking about going to try and find a Microsoft Intellimouse 2.0 :p

Did the MX518 need any special drivers under Tiger/Leopard?
i.e. will I need somthing like Steermouse to get the extra buttons to work.
Thnks

Nope.

I configured the extra side buttons for Exposé and dashboard with no extra drivers / software.. just good ol' Plug n Play :)

I've got a G5 and a might mouse but the G5 is leaps head of the might mouse for editing and speed I think the mighty mouse is a bit of gimmick but ok if your just browsing etc. Here is mine together ;)
