Not essentially hardware, but it is a part that needs to fit my mouse as it has had some hard wear..

Had a Logitech G7 and razer eXactmat for the last 3 years, looking to replace the latter. After 1 year the control side of it was no longer responsive to mouse tracking and used the speed side of it for the rest of the time, looking at it under light you can clearly see smoothed out grain in the corners - I used it in corners as every few months one zone of the mouse mat would no longer track. Anyhow my last corner is giving up the game and I need a new mousemat.

Mousemat for G7, needs to be durable for excessive gaming and less than 17 quid - or suggestions on which to avoid for tracking issues with this mouse.

Props to Logitech by the way. This "wireless" mouse has been through thick and think, 3 different gaming addictions, almost 12 - 13 hours use every day for the last year, no button faults tracks perfect, no fault to the wireless functionality and chargeable packs still keep their power all day long, amazing

Mine had weird scrolling issues, used to scroll up and down itself :(

RIP.

I use the Everglide Titan, but it might be out of your budget, though I have no wear on my G5 with it at all.

Mmm, Ill scower some review site and see what i come up with..

Unlucky to both of you who's didn't last, mine really should have given up, it's been dropped and knocked and spilt on and the list goes on as does the mouse :D

So annoyed they don't do them over here any longer!

Oh really, I guess I haven't looked. I hope mine gives me enough time for logitech to get smart and re release another wireless mouse on this outstanding design. I really don't get along with the razer mouse', I've only used my friends' who sees fit to upgrade every time a snake gets its name stolen.

Anyhow, Ive been looking around and I've convinced myself to go with a 'Titan' more than likely the larger one. Just really hoping I don't have tracking issues with it as my G7 can be quite temperamental on some mouse surfaces and not track at all. Also hope the weave in the fibre doesn't cause my Teflon pads to catch/peel at the edges as the wear and tear already has started that process.

Been using mine for months and the pads on the G5 look like new.

My G7 Special Edition has been going nearly 3 years and I still love it

I've had good experiences with logitech mice, use an mx700 on my other PC and although I've had to swap button triggers about , it still works fine.

Whats a mousemat ? I use my desk and have never had tracking issues.....just a worn desk :D

Loved and now miss my G7 the mat i use is the Fnatic titan by everglide was great in game`s and its big :)

What I really don't understand is that it's still available in the US, quite why the European market isn't good enough for it I don't know, one day when the pound recovers against the dollar or I'm feeling flush I'll import a new one :)

Quite a bit more expensive than your stated budget, but if you think you might consider it, perhaps the Icemat? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GS-012-ST

Far as I know, they never wear out.

Thanks for the suggestion but I already ordered an Everglide Titan, I have used an Icemat in the past and I really didnt like the super smooth surface, It also heightens moisture spills from extended sweaty handed gaming sessions, something I would imagine the woven fabric would be less of an issue with
