My 7 years old Microsoft intellimouse explorer 3.0's silver paint is wears off due to heavy usage, so im thinking to give it a new coat of paint; probably keep it to silver or change to black.

can any1 tell me what sorts of spray paint i need to buy from halfords?

I'm not sure about the type of spray paint really but I'd have thought any sort of hardwearing car spray would do it, you may need to give the mouse a little bit of roughening up with some fine wet n' dry paper before it will take but this isn't an area of expertise for me I'm afraid so don't take it as read that I am right.

You do know you could just buy a new Intellimouse v3.0 in black for about £25 now? :)

oh, i thought the paint option would be cheaper. i love this mouse tho, nothing wrong with the device aparts from paint.

I've got the same mouse though mines not as bad as that, it's the old adage really isn't it - don't fix it unless it's broke - I too like mine but I have a spare 1 locked away somewhere for when the I'm using right now breaks. :)

u need to use wet and dry paper then go for any colour car spray is ok then with the usage it will have get some laqure(SP) and give it atleast 3 coats

to stop it wareing of so quick or

alternativly it might be just as cheap to buy a new one

You'll need a can of undercoat, whatever colour you like (BMW jet black is good) and for a very tough, quality finish you'll want some clear lacquer.

Won't look as nice though, and it is always fun to mod :)
