Recently bought a 40" Samsung TV to replace my ageing 32" LG. I had my LG TV mounted onto the wall using a wall mount that I bought (supporting swivel and tilt) that says it supports TVs up to 32". It also states the max weight is 30KG.
Using the specs in the manual of the new Samsung, it suggests that the weight of the TV is only 14.4KG. It also feels a fair bit lighter than the LG did.

I know it's possible to mount it on the old mount (using the VESA 200x200 mount points), but is it safe?
I didn't want to risk my brand new TV on the old mount, but if it's fine, it would save me a bit.
:)

Thanks for the quick reply Defcon.
Just for reference, the old TV was a LG 32LG5700 using a 'Single Arm LCD Wall Bracket' from Asda.
The new TV is a Samsung LE40C530.

If the new tv is under the stated max weight and it has compatible vesa mounting holes then it will be fine. Newer Lcds will be a fair bit lighter than the older models.
