Hey guys, just a quick one I hope someone may be able to advise with!

Trying to move all email, contacts, calendars etc. from an existing @hotmail.com account and upload it to a brand new office 365 small business account.

I've added the hotmail account to a desktop version of outlook 2013 with hopes to get a local copy, export it as a pst, then import it to the office 365 account via the same outlook desktop client.

The inbox etc has downloaded, along with a copy of all the folders and subfolders, only issue is that none of the other folders have populated - I keep clicking send/receive but it's still bringing no further emails down.

Is there a sync limit or something for these free hotmail accounts? Like, it's only going to download a few weeks worth of email or something by default?

Thanks guys!

sounds like you have done it correctly when you expoerted to a PST did you select the mail box at top level or leave at default which is inbox?

I hadn't exported yet, for some reason the other folders have just populated though - maybe outlook.com/hotmail.com throttles active syncing to email clients as it's a free service, which is what caused the delay I experienced? Hmm, v. odd!

I don't know about a throttle down from Hotmail, but importing a PST into O365 will be throttled to around 500MB an hour so bear that in mind.
