I have an amd A8-3870K its the last of the FM1 sockets so don't really want to buy a new cpu/mobo.

The on CPU radeon 6xxx has been fine but now I need something to play games at 1080p smooth at max settings.

PSU is beefy so what graphics card around £200 would allow this, the cpu should be powerful enough I think?

A few questions. how big is your Case?
What PSU do you have?

As for the CPU, its not bad but its not good either, i wouldn't go for anything with more power than an R9 270X, like this one

Which will play any game at high or max settings 1080P.

With that CPU you should go for an AMD GPU as their Mantle API will render the lack of top CPU performance irrelavent, it will give Mantle enabled games a huge boost on a CPU like that in Mantle enabled games, like BF4 which comes free with the GPU i linked. about 20 other Mantle games are in development.

Fractal Design Define Mini Case

The PSU is fine, the GPU should be fine, the Gigabyte is one of the two biggest. your case can take 260mm Cards with the HDD cage in place or 400mm with it out.

i just need to double check how long the card is.

brb.

Ok. the Gigabyte is 300mm long, so you would need to take the HDD cage out.

The Sapphire DX is 230mm, On OcUK here, that will fit with the HDD cage in, no BF4 with that one, but it is cheaper than the Gigabyte and a decent GPU.
