Move from Chrome to Safari - anyone done it, worth it?

I've been using Chrome for years since I moved from Firefox a few years ago. These days I only have three Windows devices in the house. My gaming rig which isn't used for browsing, a NUC for OpenPHT which is being replaced with a Mac Mini and a Surface Pro 4 which I'm replacing with a MacBook.

I like Chrome, I have no issues with it. I don't use many plug ins, mainly Lastpass, Lazarus form recovery. But I've read it's memory hungry (never noticed) and I figure to fall in with the Apple eco system I should use Safari. It's the default browser on my iPhone which I tend to not use hence I started thinking about moving and the copy/paste of links wears thin at times.

I'm wondering if anyone has made the move and how have you found it?

I keep trying to make this move due to Safari being so much better on battery life but I always find myself going back for one reason or another. My main reason for staying with Chrome is that all of my logins, bookmarks addons, permanent clipboard etc come with me no matter what PC or Mac I'm using at the time.

I use lastpass for logins. Can't you move the other stuff and as long as you're signed into iCloud on the device you use (in the same way as being signed into Chrome) and it follows you?

I've been using Safari for a few days. Initial thoughts are a bit 'meh'. I'm not going to lie, I do miss Chrome. Safari beats it in speed though, it's properly quick. But the UI is a little boring and the LastPass plugin is not as good as the one in Chrome.
