Move into my new place tomorrow :D

Currently in a small Studio flat, ground floor and had over a year of hell with multiple neighbors causing problems above me, and to the side. From loud bass till 3am which I had to get the council involved, to a guy with split personalities living up stairs, who screams and shouts to himself while banging cupboards and dropping things waking you up. The flat is so small it barely fit a computer and bed in! I've been calling it the torture flat and it's given me no end of stress, it's also a place that if you were ill it would be even more torture.

But this new place, Up stairs TOP FLOOR, open plan living room,kitchen with separate bedroom and nobody living next to or above my bedroom either. It's also the third floor with actual views and includes both water bills . I just hope the down stairs neighbors aren't horrific!

Also, this place is just up the road from here and close to my family which means I can stay in the area I like . I was looking at Margate but it's far far worse, good prices, huge flats but the area was nasty

Very Happy, I've been so desperate to get out of this place but everytime the contract was up I didn't have the means to find a new place nor did I find anywhere suitable for what I wanted. They were all ground floor or too far away. In the month I've put my claim to this place, there hasn't been a single top floor flat available.

It's probably the Happiest i've been for many many months, I just hope and pray that I don't end up with noisy music neighbors.

Moving is always exciting. I love my current place but I would kill to get faster broadband (6mb!). Good luck with your new place, it sounds like a vast improvement!

It is up in Scotland, I'd imagine we may have a slightly higher rate to compensate for this.

But never had to pay bills so admit I don't know.

I love how you have stated the internet speeds from the current to what you're moving to.

I'm looking for a house share myself at the mo, with a plan to buy in a year. When messaging landlords I literally type 'What's the internet connection speed?'

I make it look like a 'normal' question by saying that on the odd occasion I need to work from home during the evenings, without wanting to say 'yeah I play MMO's for ridiculous amount of hours each week, can I do my raids on your internet connections?'
