The joys of afternoons at home with Sky Movies (contains spoilers)
Plot
Husband and wife check into a remote motel of which the proprietor has a penchant for snuff flicks. He has a couple of mates who got a 2 for 1 discount on last year’s “Jason” halloween masks.
Husband and wife, played by the bizarrely casted Luke Wilson and Kate Beckinsale, run in and out of a room pursued by aforementioned mask and boiler suit wearing loons. Apparently, the blood lust demonstrated by the villains can be temporarily neutralised by closing the 2 inch thick wooden door of the room they are "trapped" in.
To extend the running in and out of places to a full ninety minute film an "underground" warren of tunnels is levered into the plot.
Summary
1) Lots of running in and out of places
2) Obligatory "OMG we are saved" three quarter way through
3) Moderately entertaining, but more comedic than brown your trousers thrills
5) Six Actors and One Set = Credit Crunch busting movie making
4) Luke Wilson and Kate Beckinsale, seriously. The pair managed to blandly portray what on script was a mildly anxiety inducing script.
Overall
6/10 - Watch it, its so predictable and averagely acted its actual enjoyable.
