I've got quite a lot of spare time at work, so I thought it would be an interesting experiment to see if I can move my Windows machine over to a linux distro and still perform my day to day tasks.
Most of the software is easily transferable, but the one I'm having issues with is Outlook. We have an exchange 2003 server, which I need to have the same level of access to as I do now. This means that I need to have access to my calendar, global address book, etc. Now thunderbird seems to do most of what I need (apart from the calendar part), but I was wondering if anyone had any other experience in this area ?
I think I might have to run a virtual machine containing Windows XP anyway, so I can get access to the Windows admin tools, but I would rather keep the VM to a minimal overhead and not run outlook inside it.
