I have been thinking quite a lot over the past few years, and i have been contemplating to move away to some new surroundings.

I thought to myself, i want to go somewhere where i do not have to learn a new language as such, and is similar to England in the way things are opperated.

I initially thought Australia, but thats too far away for me, then i thought of the USA.

Has anyone made the big move, and if so, what are your experiences?

I've not made the move but I've been seriously considering emigrating to the states eventually!:D
What are your reasons if u don't mind me askin'??

One, to get away from the family :p and start a new life.

Im not nieve in thinking the grass is greener on the other side, but i think its my time to head off and start a fresh life :)

Isn't it hard to get a greencard unless you are well qualified?

Ahh well sneaking under th wire it is :p

The Americans are mostly a great people and are very hospitable!

Erm
Not what I found when I went, quite the opposite actually. 90% of them thought I was a terrorist because I'm not white. Didn't even go to the red states, I'd have probably been shot there.

90% of the people you came across, but not 90% of the entire population I think!
And no, I haven't met the entire population obviously, but the people that I have met are awesome and are also very welcoming to non-white, non-american people!

most us gamers are ok, i used to be in a transatlantic clan and all the yanks were pretty funny and decent guys! There was one stroppy one in the clan, but he was a fag anyway lol he got bullied
