Just a quick run through the current set up;

i7 (not sandybridge)
8GB ddr3 memory
ud3r motherboard
ati 5870
fractal define xl

When they are both out i would like to move to a new ivybridge and a kepler set up

My question is wether to keep it on air (which i have found in this case to be, horrific) or move to watercooling?

If watercooling would be the best choice then can someone give a quick idiots guide to what you need and how much you are looking at? Complete nubtardl0lz0rs on watercooling and wouldnt even know what to start

Thanks

Air flow isn't too bad in the XL once you've taken the removeable drive bay cluster out.

A good air cooler like the Noctua NH-D14 and the newer blower fans on recent Nvidia cards are pretty quiet.
