Move wife to AMD 6600 from her Radeon 7?

Quick question - Thought my old R7 was dying as the wifes machine kept crashing so I grabbed in a new power supply and a 6600 gpu. Swapped over the power supply and the machine is absolutely fine so I now have a 6600 sitting here. Big question is, is it worth the swapping her from the Radeon 7 to the 6600 or should I just send the 6600 back? On the fence as it seems the Radeon 7 still holds some good value so could likely get the money back that I spent on the 6600 if I sell the 7.

Decisions, what would you do?

you answered your own question lol - still holds value sell it

Radeon 7 is still fast the only thing with it is the driver is already on life support.
I think you should sell it while it still hold value.

I think its one of those weird ones that will hold for a while as its one of the fastest supported cards on certain apple systems I think. Seems to still be commanding around the £250 mark. I think it makes sense to swap it out but just perhaps not for a 6600... Ive sent the 6600 back and think ill shell out for something like a 7800xt or something. Or even give her my 6800xt and grab this new 9070 thing... decisions, decisions.

According to TPU's database there's only 11% in it (+11% from the 6600 non-XT). The 7 is considered equivalent to a 6600 XT, so anything along the lines of a 6750 XT/7700 XT or better would be an upgrade and your 6800 XT a nice upgrade (the 7800 XT performs almost the same).

Sounds like the best plan: give her your 6800 XT, sell the 7 and buy a 9070 for you. Only thing is, with the 7 being a kind of weird GPU, I wonder if it might even hold value as a collector item in the future, but I have no idea how many they sold or if I'm talking nonsense.

Definitely return the 6600 and sell the R7 and poll the money for a better card.
I picked up a rx 6600 myself last month during the sale and sold my vega 64 and 56 to get some funds up for the new cards maybe a 9070 not xt or a 5070 and pass the 6600 to my son.

Not many were mad enough to buy it  You know what though, I have had it since release day and never once have I had a single problem with the card. Other things have failed around it but the card itself is an absolute tank.
