Just over 12 months ago I moved from iOS to Android on a Google pixel, as an experiment.

I hated it, but persevered.

My Pixels battery isn't great anymore so I'm contemplating a new handset, including going back to iOS but there are two things stopping me, there are things I still don't get on with on Android but there are now things I just can't live without.... Scheduled text messages, unlimited photo storage etc.

.... So I'm potentially looking at another android, question is, what's out there that is on par with the pixel one and has better battery life?

What sort of budget? Nokia 7 Plus has a bigger battery and should easily last a couple of days. Also is an Android One phone so it should get updates as quick as the Pixel.

Any other parts you didn't like about your Pixel?

Google Photos offers unlimited ‘high quality’ storage. Pixel phones get unlimited original quality photo storage, but only until 2020, at which point new photos will be saved in ‘high quality’ format.

Do you need stock Android? If not then I'd look at the Mate 10 Pro. I wasn't a fan of EMUI but the phone itself is fantastic. Battery life is the best I've ever had on a phone, plus the camera is excellent as well. Looks nice too.

I've been using iPhone for quite a bit now but would love to move to Android for all of the benefits.

I can't seem to push myself into getting an Android device when my contract needs renewing and just end up getting another iPhone and the cycle continues.
