Managed to bag a decent deal on a second hand unit. Came with a nice short 24 pin which I needed anyway.

Lets me have some room for some good cable tidying and airflow. It's so tiny!

I got one a few years ago when i was toying with the idea of going ITX.

It's in my mid tower now with extension cables and it has been running perfect.

You get so much more room under the PSU shroud and having extensions on the short cables take up no extra space round the back of the case (except for the 24 pin connector).

Only drawback really is the 7 year warranty, not sure why it was not at least 10 years for such a premium PSU.

I had an SF600 back when I had the MSI docked laptop and I ran an overclocked Titan-P with a water cooling loop and it never skipped a beat. This was about 10 years ago (OMG just realised that).

I was always a little worried with the 500W old unit and it did not offer much room for alternative cards to the 4070 in future.

It was what I had lying around and I was putting something together after my laptop died.

On reddit some people are saying they are using the SF750 (V1) to run a RTX 4090 system with no issues.

Apparently it is a 850w PSU but to get a platinum rating they had to class it as 750W.

Wonder how it would handle a 5090?
