Hi,

A group of us are heading off to Canada in Feb next year for some larking about on the ski slopes, been watching some of the skills displayed by the TGR guys, and would like to 'attempt' at putting together a basic film of some of the talent(less) we will be displaying.... However, I've not got much idea of any software to use other than Windows Moviemaker which I tried, but (unless I'm doing something dramatically wrong - and I am a total n00b) I found it rather bad! (Trying to get music to time in with the frames I was putting in was not happening).

Would anyone be able to recommend something I could try out?

Thanks.

Adobe Premiere and Sony Vegas are two (expensive) commercial apps that have free trials you could use for a short period of time

obv if you want the all the effects/filter etcs go with Premiere. But have put together a few basic movies using WMM and found it quite good really (the one on Vista x64). Really easy to add credits, chapters into, overlays, music (fading) etc to a clips.

Very easy to use aswell.
