I have a Dell U2311 and originally tried watching DVDs using Windows Media Player.
Wasn't all that impressed but put it down to see the limitations of DVD.
So I recently bought a BD player which I use with Cyber Link Power DVD 9 and whilst the detail is much better it's still not that impressive.
My main issue which I realise was on both DVD and BD playback, through WMP and PowerDVD, is that when a black screen is displayed I get a vertical pattern of alternating dark and lighter stripes a few mm wide. It's not noticeable when playing the movie but now that I know it's there ....
Is this normal for this monitor?
If not, what else could be causing it?
