Sometimes our tastes change. Sometimes you can't believe how much. I'm not talking about simple growing out of something, I'm talking what the Hell was I thinking? For me, Earth Girls Are Easy. I think I was 9 when this came out. I remember thinking the fuzzy aliens were cute, feeling funny when Jeff Goldblum appeared and liking the songs. I saw it twice. Remembered it fondly. Thought it was "romantic". :confused::confused::confused:

I just saw a clip from it with a character singing about how she doesn't have to work because she's blonde and I've suddenly realized this is one of the dumbest most awful things I've ever seen. Reaaaaally bad.

Anyone else got things they used to love and now can't believe they ever did?
 
Enchanted. Sat through the animated section in utter horror when the current Mrs whiskycycle dragged me to see it... Then it turned into a cracker of a film.

Not ashamed either!

Yes, but that's actually a fun (but twee) film you still actually like. I'm talking things you're mystified you could ever possibly have once enjoyed.

American Ninja, my brother and I used to watch it all the time and we watched it again this year, it's just awful.

And this is going to be controversial... but the Lord of the Rings trilogy, I cannot stand them now, truly think they are massively overrated garbage, sorry :(

The first film is by far away the best... the third is rather boring now.

I’m going to raise the controversial stakes.... The Austin Powers films are absolutely dreadful now.
 
I have one that works for both interpretations of the title - Cruel Intentions (1999) - didn't think it would be a movie I liked, looking back I'm not really sure why its I movie I liked but at the same time its not that terrible either.
