Hey folks, in my garage we had a door fitted to the kitchen, which is handy, except the lightswitch is actually the other side of the door, so when you open it from the kitchen to go in, you need to go inside the garage around the door to get to the light switch, so I just want to move it the other side of the door.

It is an externally mounted plastic box, with 3 wires inside (earth is in there but not connected) so I am guessing all I need to do is get some sort of junction box, and extend the wires over to the new location, and put a new surface mounted light switch box on the wall? I can pin the wires to the wall as it's the garage and all the other wires are like that anyway.

What sort of junction box do you need for this? Something like this?

Would it then require a terminal block inside it for the wires to join?
