Moving a PAYG number to contract?

My wife is looking to upgrade her trusty old Nokia 6310 to something a bit nicer - currently on Orange PAYG.

I've seen that she can get the new K800i on O2 for free @ £19/month, which seems like a good deal (although she'll have a better phone than me, grrrr!).

Are there any complications in transferring your number if you're on PAYG, or is it just a case of her getting her PAC from Orange and letting O2 know?

Yup thats all i did when i went from PAYG to contract.

If that is a straight deal, rather than 'refund' based then its a very good deal. Better still if its from a shop.

Went from PAYG on Vodafone to monthly with O2 , no problems ..

except their carp website
