I've got a shuttle system at the moment which serves me well, but is lacking the room to expand, particularly with graphics cards.

Is it possible to put a shuttle motherboard into a bigger midi or micro ATX case to give myself a bit more room?

I've a nasty feeling shuttle boards aren't compatible with bigger ATX cases as the board is designed t fit a shuttle case only.

I however could be wrong and am prepared to eat my virtual hat (I don't have a real one) if I'm wrong.

Shuttle quote:
Mini-ITX Mainboard Support
Shuttle expands the capabilities of its R chassis, adding support for Mini-ITX mainboards (17 x 17cm or 6.7 x 6.7 inches). The Shuttle chassis can go beyond the Shuttle mainboard, so you can easily upgrade or downgrade the mainboard to your desire, without any modifications to the chassis.

So I'm guessing that you can if you have a recent shuttle case, as in a "R" chassis.

Looked into this for my old SH61R4 Shuttle I had. Unfortunately they are only talking about changing the motherboard and retaining the chassis, not the other way round. This means if your Shuttle motherboard goes bang, a miniITX motherboard will fit into the Shuttle case (with space to spare), but you cannot swap your Shuttle motherboard into a miniITX case. Ended up giving the Shuttle to my parents and bought a shiny EVGA Hadron instead to use standard ITX size components.
