Hi all

I have a shiny new Macbook Pro that I need to sync my iphone to, I have already copied my Itunes music library to the new laptop. I have also authorised my laptop with my itunes account. What happens with my apps on my iphone? I really don't want to lose the data associated with them - i have lots of todo lists etc, high scores in games. Do i just sync and it will copy the apps on the phone and keep the data associated with them or will it try to 'erase and sync' when I sync to the new machine? Bit confused!

Hope this makes sense ... anyone know?

Thanks for any replies, couldn't find a thread regarding this. Thanks for any replies.

rather than sync, set it to manual and then IIRC there is an option to transfer purchases to the computer. Could be mistaken and I'm not at home so can't check. It was on windows and involved a right click on the iphone icon in itunes IIRC it's all a bit of a blur lol

Hi,

I believe, somebody please correct me if I am wrong, you should consolidate your iTunes library. Start iTunes on the new Mac, close it then replace the iTunes folder with your original.

Apps are stored within this folder so they should be ok but stuff like photos and things need to be recreated in iPhoto in order to be sync'd across. Assuming you're coming from Windows that is.

There are a few tips one the support.apple.com site. Sorry haven't got the links to hand but if I find them I will post em.
