Hi all,

I'm selling my PC and want to keep my progress in BF2, are there files I need to keep or is is "cloud" based?

Thanks,

G

If you want to keep your profile and settings like controls and GFX then back up your profile in C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\Battlefield 2 and copy the profiles folder, you won't have to go through the tutorial again this way and redo all your settings.

Thanks very much :)

Same question for the following games:

Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare
Call of Duty - World at War

Both of those COD's are cloud based, so you won't lose your rank on mp, but if you've got pretty far on the single player, then you need to back up save games.

^ this is NOT true for call of duty 4.

The multiplayer stats are stored locally.

Yup what he said, the file is called MPDATA it's stored locally.
It's a hidden file so you'll need to search it, it can be in different places depending on your version of windows.
