Moving characters in WoW

Does anyone know when they will implement the ability to move servers with your character?

You can already but it's VERY limited atm. Every so often, they will allow you to move characters between 2 specific servers, which is pretty useless if you are on the other 50+ servers, lol.

No idea whether they will implement a full character-move feature in the future.

Probably not. They're just currently trying to keep the balance of everything at the moment. Allowing transfers would end up completely wrecking realm balance, everyone piling onto certain realms - such as newly opened fresh realms.

Blizzard need to introduce something to stop people rolling certain factions and/or classes on some transfers, there is a real faction imbalance problem on a lot of servers, like my server which is almost entirely populated by Night Elf Hunters...

As are most of them..... oh and every epic is "a hunter item" even if they cant use it. :p

My main is a rogue and ive actually lost out on 4 items of shadowcraft armour to feral druids and hunters! i mean come-on!! Later on the same night with the same people the ancient bone bow dropped so i thought what the hell... and rolled on it too. You should have heard the comments then!!! ( they dont like it the other way round- Hunters usually think they have a god given right to just about every item in the game it seems).

I only do raids in my guild now where i trust the people to be sensible with items when they drop.

To quote a certain genius:

"Nightslayer is for PvP, Bloodfang is for PvE, and Shadowcraft is for retards"

:D

Seriously though, forget Shadowcraft. There's far better armor combinations avaliable to you, even if you are just a casual player.

LOL Bloodfang for a casual gamer? a 40man instance..... yeah right. My guild havent cracked ZG yet so i think BWL is a bit out of my reach somehow. SC will be fine for now thanks...

Erm, am I missing something? Where did I suggest that Bloodfang is a suitable armor solution for a casual gamer such as yourself?

Shadowcraft only has a few good pieces... well... mainly 2, the cowl and the boots.. however the boots should be replaced

i have

SC Cap
Wyrmtongue Spaulders
Cadaverous Armor
Bracers of the Eclipse
Devilsaur Gloves
Cloudrunner Girdle
Devilsaur Legs
Pads of the Dread Wolf

they are all blue and from non MC, bwl etc... probably the best blue combination available.

the full SC set is crap, and most of it is in my bank just so i can say i have it.

With my Dual Dal Rends and trinkets etc i have 816AP unbuffed. And 289agility. (304 if i replace crusader with agi+15)

That's what I'm talking about. That armor combination is by FAR superior to full SC. Unfortunately I only realised this after I had wasted my time obtaining each and every piece of shadowcraft :(

The shadowcraft on the public test is pretty nifty though, and once upgraded to epic is really nice. It does actually surpass the blues listed above by quite a bit then.
Only played on test with it though, my rogue is a lowly 44...
