moving content from PS4 to Pro/Slim please help........

so, i've got a Pro preordered and i'll be wanting to copy every thing from my PS4's nearly full HD to the Pro.

i have an ethernet cable and could do it that way, but i'd rather copy it over to USB HD now ready for when i unplug the PS4 and put the Pro in its place.

my question is.
is this a viable way to do it or have i to use the cable and do it that way?

Either do a full back-up to a USB drive or copy everything directly between the two consoles. I doubt there's much difference.

I recently changed from my original system with a 2Tb to my Battlefront Vader Console. It was a little different but it went smoothly enough but takes a while. I backed up to a 2Tb External 3.5" 7200Rpm HDD, removed the hdd and put it in my new one, reinstalled the OS and then restored from backup. Took about 24 hours in total I think.

I'm getting a Pro too, can I just remove my 2TB form the PS4 and put it in the Pro and not have to go through all this backing up?

The short answer of swapping the drive is a no, unfortunately.
