Moving emails from Public File to Shared Mailbox

We have a public folder that has reached its 2GB limit. I want to move the emails in there to a Shared Mailbox.

There are 35,000 emails to move, is there a script that can do this for me? I read you can't automatically move emails from a Public Folder to a shared Mailbox

Possibly a little bit awkward but could you export/import it in Outlook then just delete the public folder?
