Hi,

I have my 3GS synced up with my laptop at the moment. I just got a 5S, how do i get iTunes to now move all my apps, music etc over to the 5S? Just plug it in and it does its magic, do i need to do anything on the phone first?

Also, how do i keep the apps on both devices with the same apple ID account? Is this even allowed? (i.e can you buy an app once and install it on more than one device?). I want to keep the 3GS as essentially an iPod touch so my daughter can play her painting games etc.

Thanks

Thanks. In the end i did a cloud backup on my 3GS. I then turned the 5S on and went through the startup steps, logged in with my apple ID and the phone downloaded everything. Apps, all the right folders, texts, photos etc. Seemed to download all my apps and install them quicker than the 3GS managed to do even one app install. For some reason it also downloaded all the music i've ever bought on iTunes, but that's not too much of an issue. Only thing i had to sync with a PC for was to get the rest of my non iTunes music.

One question i had, don't know whether it's iTunes/iOS7/5S specific, but before when i downloaded an app / music on my phone then connected to my PC, it copied it all over to the PC. Now it doesn't and I have to click download purchases each time.
