moving from 2600k to 3770k

Hi guys,

Like the title says im moving from my 2600k to a 3770k, i know its not really an upgrade in terms of raw computing power but it does open up the 3x PCIE-E 3.0 slots on my Z77 Mpower for future x/tri-fire.
Now, after much googling i cant seem to find a difinitive comparisson between PCI-E 2.0 and 3.0, only the usual marketing dribble.

So my question is what sort of gains can i expect to see with PCI-E 3.0 and a 3770k over my current 2600k and PCI-E 2.0????

I had a look at those links and after a bit more fumbling around on google i found this

So ive cancelled the sale of my 2600k and i will be sticking with it

2600K / 2700K are such a good CPUs. Paid £210, almost as much as a 4670K nowadays. Ah!

ya funny I bought a 3770k as soon as it came out - it sat under my bed for 6-10 months and then I proceeded to sell it; only because I was too lazy to put it in my system - and for the fact Im using a h70 cooler and it can mess up the conduction if you switch cpus (need to use different stuff then).

So I just didn't bother ...
