I am in need of some assistance here. I want to up my RAM to 32GB now and most likely 64GB in the next year or so.
This machine is used for both work and gaming, the current specs are:
Like the one at the very top in the back of this image.
It would be nice to match the RAM but I honestly can't find it anywhere (a supplier is price gouging it at £300 for 2x8). So I think I am left with the option of selling these sticks and buying the new style, or go RGBless.
Unless I can find the exact same spec ram in the new kind and I can sell the old ones when I get a chance. I'm not that bothered about them matching, I just don't know what to pick. If it's easier for me to just buy 4x8 or 2x16 then that's an option.
Can someone help me pick appropriate RAM out? If it's any help at all I do a lot of compiling with enterprise webserver systems as well as very large front end systems. Running two of them in dev environment (even with modular hot reloading) my RAM usage is constantly sitting on 14-15GB.
