Moving from Dual Screen to Widescreen

I'm tempted to move to a single widescreen monitor as it would help with editing timelines etc but how do you cope without a second screen to output video previews to or when you just want to watch a TV show while gaming etc?

Has there been a big improvement somewhere? I currently use Ultramon to move a window between screens whenever I'm working on something.

Well I dont do editing, but I do have a 34 inch ultra wide monitor and I've not found it to be a replacement for two monitors , I also have a 27 inch monitor

Have to agree with Grant here. The second monitor is just needed so much. Even if it's portrait mode on the side.

As nice as the ultrawide is, and I've tried before to simply use the one, it's just not as good as two. Best solution was ultrawide and another monitor.

That's a good enough answer for me, one of mine is getting a bit long in the tooth so I was considering going to a single widescreen but now I think I'll get a matching pair.
