Been with TT for a few years, but swtiched to EE today as they offered me a really good deal on BB with my new phone.
Been using the TT supplied router in modem only mode with an Asus RT-N66 doing router/wifi duties and it has worked well. As I understand it you cannot run the the EE hub as a modem only.
Is the supplied hub any good?
Could I simply disable Wi-Fi and DHCP on the EE hub and connect it to a LAN port on the Asus (the TT modem is currently connected to the WAN port of the Asus) and continue that way?
Can I keep the Asus and buy a better modem that will work with EE?
Is buying a better modem/router and not use what EE supply an option, the Asus is a good few years old, but it works
Totally open to suggestions/recommendations
What would you do?
I have a couple of switches (8 port and 16 port) which are almost full, 2 mac's, windows, couple of NAS drives, music server, Smart TV, PS4, Sky Q, couple of phones and iPads, usual stuff really.
