Well the time has come to start looking for a New mobile for me!

My trusty Lumia 830 is still okay for the moment, but Windows 10 is starting to get a little flaky!!! And now Microsoft have said the Lumia line and 'Consumer' handsets are being phased out, They're going down the 'Expensive' Business route (HP and the 'possible' Surface Phones)

As I've been out of the 'Android' loop for 3 years now, my last droid was the Nexus 4... So I was wondering if you guys could help with suggestions on a decent handset!? :)

I need something 'Sim Free' that isn't going to cost the earth!!
I have a few stipulations though!!

I don't want anything Apple,
I don't want anything Samsung,
I would like at least a 1080p screen,
I would like at least a 5" screen, but not over 5.5" (that's just silly),
I would like an microSD slot,
I would love QI charging and Fast Charging when wired,
Nothing too plasticy (love the Metal bits on my 830)...

Budget, I'm not sure! I know the Pixel (Nexus?) is now stupidly priced! but like the look of the One+3 and the price seems nice! so about £350-400 I suppose!

Thanks Guys! :)

I've heard about the Oneplus X but don't know when its out!

I suppose QI charging is still rare at this price point (though my 830 does it!)

I'll have a look at those, anymore suggestions?? :)

Gonna move away from Windows now! It was great whilst it lasted, but more and more app programmers are moving away (never thought I'd use that reason) and I miss being able to fettle and personalise exactly how i want!

That's the way I'm leaning!

The zte has perked my interest, but the oneplus3 is top of the pile! Unless there's summit similar with more goodies and awesome reviews!

Don't get me wrong.. I really like Windows 10, it's just a little buggy on my 830.

I might stay on Windows if any of the other manufacturers offerings are any good (and not priced like the HP at £600-700)

but I also fancy a change for a few years!!

I'm quite torn!!!

Couple more questions... :)

1, Do people still Root/Unlock the Bootloader anymore?
2, Is it worth Rooting/Unlocking the Bootloader?
3, Can you easily Root/Unlock the Bootloader on the above suggested phones??

Cheers Dudes! :D
