Moving game installation folders

Im on Win 11 and i want to do a fresh install of the OS and at the same time add another m2 drive for games etc as the main one is filling fast, these modern games are huge!! the main games in question are

Cyberpunk via GOG
Battlefield 2042 origin
Forza 4 Xbox?

Can i just move game folders to new "games" drive before i re install OS on main drive?
Does the game client have to be installed on the same drive as the game?
Is it as simple as starting new Game download, pausing and then transferring data over???

Yes move the files then after the format you’ll be able to point the launchers at the new games folder, or as you say starting a dl and pause / paste.

the only ones you can’t do it with is game pass games I think.

Nope, have it wherever.

my clients are on c and my games split across a couple of ssds
