Moving Games directories

I have 3 partitions on my PC.
I want to format my second partition but its where I've been installing my games onto.
1st partition has Windows, 3rd partition just has media files.

Hassle to reinstall ALL the games, so is there a way to just copy them across and update any shortcuts?

Should have no problems, have done that myself quite a few times.

You might encounter problems with any games that refer to the registry as that will be still be pointing towards your old partition.

They usual just ask for the CD key to be re-entered.
Also worth pointing out, some games install profiles on the C drive, so back those up to.

As the guy said though, there are some games that dont like it, but i've yet to find one

I had to reinstall an old version of Tiger Woods sveral times after moving its home. That wouldn't have been so much of a pain if I didn't also have loads of additional courses and libraries that had to reinstalled using the software's own installer.
