moving HD from Pent3 to Pent 4 Case.?How

I have tried just plugging in a HD from an old Pentium 3 case/system into an other Pentium 4 case/system and it wont work!
What must I do to the HD before trying to move it to the new case/system.
In both systems it's the Master HD

Define "it won't work."

Does it spin up? Is it found? Is it the Windows install that doesn't work?

Also, this might be better in General Hardware or Hard Drives, given that it sounds like a hardware issue rather than software (unless of course 3) is your problem).

Define won't work, as lokkers said. Although since you've posted this in Windows&Software, I'm going to presume you want to keep your existing Windows install and get it working. That's not going to happen with such a drastic platform change I'm afraid.
