Hiya
I'm moving out for the first time, stuff is currently under reference so its not 100% just yet, but I have a few questions I'm curious about.
I'm paying for line rental with BT and have my broadband with BE unlimited. I'd like to keep it this way in my new place. I was looking at the BT website about moving home and switching my line and it said that a connection charge of £130 may apply if I don't take their broadband package (Which I won't). I was wondering if it applies to me because when I viewed the flat there was already a BT phone line jack in the wall, would they charge me £130 for turning that on?
Also I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea of how long this stuff takes. Anyone know from experience how long it will take BT to turn on my line, and then for BE to turn on my internet at my new address? Any info would be great thanks
I don't want to ring them until I'm sure I have the place which will be around Wed/Thurs, but its something thats on my mind.
