Afternoon all

Really hope someone can help me out, Im in the process of buying a brand new house round the corner in the same area i am in now so i know what LLU sevices are avaliable in my local exchange which is "Braintree". I am currently on virgin BB which is kinda expensive (about £28 a month with line rental) I only have a 3mb line here so i know when i move the line speed will prob be the same lame speed.

Anyway the main issue i am having is that whenever i enter my new postcode into the address checker to see the avaliability it always shows as not found, i guess as its a brand new property.

I really dont know what to do and who to try, i have never had a problem with virgin but they are kinda dear, i would love to try BT infinty but i dont know if its avaliable as my new address just wont show

Any ideas guys

Thanks so much

Be* unless you can get FTTC. You'll probably need a phone number before you can check for FTTC.

Hi mate it shows a max speed of 2.5mb for adsl on the postcode lookup of my new address as well as a 3mb connection with adsl2+

I think i will prob go with sky as they are LLU in my exchange but i did a postcode lookup on there site and it said my line would support a max of 1mb :(. I cant believe a brand new house would have such a bad phone line. I have a green BT cabnet at the end of my road so thought i might be able to get FTTC but no luck
