Moving home no bt master socket

I'm moving into my new home (1950s build) and I can't find I master socket anywhere. I have lines coming in in two places on upstairs one downstairs, the downstairs one i think is virgin media because its very close the the virgin media box outside, the upstairs one i think is BT it comes in through the wall( no pole outside) into a closet onto a little plastic thing and looks like a bit of a birds nest, there are sockets all over the house and miles of telephone cable( no going to be good for broadband). How can I get BT to come and install a new master socket and is there a chance of getting it for free?

for new installation if you are going with bt then yes you may get it as part of a bundle offer as installation will be part of it etc, if not going with them no

and because of age of house, internal wiring maybe a nightmare also for home plugs and also wifi as well as solid walls etc, then again you maybe lucky and get studs upstairs.

Sky will get Openreach in for free to do the install too.

It's probably set-up like the place I'm in; no phone line because everything is on cable or mobile phone if you need to make a call. - The WiFi works fine, but I had to play with the channels to get one with bandwidth.
