Got a massive TRUE120 on my CPU... is there REALLY a risk of it falling off and snapping my motherboard in two or whatever? I really cba to take it off and then have to reapply AS5 and reseating once I've moved to the new place - especially since it'll probably mean taking the motherboard out of the case completely to ensure I do it properly and get a good fit! Is it really that likely to move? I'm moving 2 streets away as well, it's going in a van, I'm gonna put big heavy boxes on either side of it to stop it from moving about... will it be allrgith?

She's a heavy ******* - Antec 182, chock full of drives and gibs, would rather not carry it. Laying it flat is a good idea, thanks!

No, I was referring to the lap-sitting and wiggling jokes :) And my problem is CLEARLY underthought, if I'm too lazy to remove the heatsink I'm certainly too lazy to think of other solutions aren't I?:D Anyway, I'm sure the laying it flat suggestion will be allright. At worst I'll put it in the front seat of the van to minimise bumping.

I dont know anyone who ever moves their PC vertically. It just seems impractical (unless your wedging it in a small gap). Put your PC stuff on the back seat of your car with the seat belt on it, or preferably in the boot with a few pillows/towels to stop it sliding around ;)

Well moved mine a few times with a TRUE on it as well.. never an issue just do as the man above says put it in the boot wrap it in a blanket or whatever and it will be fine... just dont go driving off road or taking corners at excessive speed :p
