Moving House! Double-NAT / Wi-Fi Bridge connectivity questions...

Hi All,

Really hoping someone can advise me on the best way to achieve something here!

I'm moving out of my own place into shared accommodation for a while.
I want to set up a private LAN in my own room that will connect to and sit behind the router/LAN that is being used for providing Internet access to the entire house.

I understand I'll need to use double-NAT to do this and luckily my file server (which is set up for DHCP etc.) is on the 192.168.0.x range and the house router is on 192.168.1.x - which hopefully should mean not having to change either of those subnets?

Unfortunately there is no structured cabling at all in the building so I am looking for some kind of wireless router or bridge (ideally with at least a 5-port switch built in so I can connect my server and PC to it) that can give me the private LAN as well as connect wirelessly to the main router of the house.

Does anyone know of any piece of equipment that would enable me to do this? Preferably just one single device (like a wireless router put into "bridge mode" ?) although happy to consider multiple if that is better or required (i.e. standard router and wireless bridge combo).

Or are there any other options that I could consider here that I may not be aware of? My knowledge of networking is mostly based around how things were a few years ago now.

Hope this all makes enough sense. Really appreciate any advice or suggestions that anyone can give me on this...
