Moving incomplete torrent

I am goin to reformat my windows pc today, but i currently have a linux torrent 75% downloded and dont want to have to redownlod it again, becuase my internet is being really slow as of late.
I was wondering if i could store the nearly completed file onto an external hdd and then continue where i left off on the new copy of xp.

I am using utorrent by the way.

Don't forget to copy the original seed file across as well, makes life easier.

And paste the torrent back into the transfer location and start downloading the rest of the file.

So what files do i copy to my external hdd? an where do i find them. I'm a bit slow
