Moving Lightroom & images to new laptop

Hi

I have my images and using Lightroom 4 on a windows 7 laptop.

Just got a new laptop win 10. With the latest Lightroom.

What and how is the best way to move things over to the new laptop and especially my catalogue from Lightroom, presets, keywords etc. And of course images.

My present images are on the old laptop. On D drive (partition)

Whereas the new laptop only has one drive. C

However if you don't already have a full backup somewhere else other than your original laptop the very first thing you should do is back it up to another external drive (or network location) other than any external drive you may use for the migration itself.
