Guys,

Finally got the keys to my new property on Thursday!

In the hall at high level is the existing power supply and meter etc, I am wishing for this to be moved to the small entrance hall way, I have marked up these small pictures.

Now as you can see the main incoming line goes up the wall to this point, I am looking to get a electrician to do this. However if I need to move the meter etc would i need to get the power supply company to do this? same with the main incoming connection?

Thanks?

Well I dont know if it even meets H&S as the main incoming cable you can actually see under the wall paper, and then comes out and goes into the boxing........ I could easier put my hands around it :O

H&S in the home...... comes from being a Mechanical Engineer and having it forced upon me lol. Deal in flues though not electrical.

I took the panelling off today and took some more photos of it..... shocking.

Well I was thinking you can see that cable running up the wall and I measured last night the length of the cable is sufficient to get where I want it to go.

So I think it could be quite simple, as I think the current installation is not safe as I could easily pull that cable no problem.

I am just curious if a Sparky could disconnect the main incoming cable from the black box.

Its that damn incoming cable I mean who puts its so I can touch and feel it down the wall it has simply been wallpapered over!
