For those with RSUs or other company shares, how are you moving them to the UK? I understand it's not recommended to do it to a normal UK account as you get stung on the exchange rate.

Can it be done to Revolut as an example to save fees and get a better transfer rate?

I set up a TransferWise account. It gives you the relevant US bank details to do the transfer to.

Then I topped up my Revolut using the TransferWise debit card.

I then signed up for Revolut premium temporarily to get 0% FX.

I then converted and transferred to my UK account.

All-in-all, faff aside, I think I saved about £400 on a £20k share sale.

Cheers, I take it you can't go to Revolut directly?

Thanks - I'll set up Transferwise then. What account levels do I need with TW and Revolut? Are the basic ones enough?
TransferWise (or just Wise) basic plus pay a fiver for the debit card (I actually ended up using multiple virtual card numbers so maybe you can skip the debit card bit).

Revolut - whatever that provided 0% fx. I felt a bit bad actually as I rinsed them with 20k of FX and if you cancel quick enough you pay nothing for premium
