Hi there,

Posted in a thread over in the Sound section but feel it would be better suited here.

I am unhappy with XP as for some reason it keeps thinking I am double clicking :s and feel it's time to move to Vista even though I hate that just as much. So I am moving data over to another drive.

I'm using Winamp and my Raptor drive cant hold all of my music as my collection has gotten to big, so I am having to move the music to another drive. In doing this my playlists no longer work as all the songs point to the C:/ drive. I still have my music on the C:/ I just renamed the folder to make sure there wasn't anything I had forgot. So if I need to rename it back to sort this problem out I can.

I thought Winamp would associate the playlist tracks with the "new" ones on the other drive. Looks like it doesn't.

When I had a similar issue (moved mydocs from C:\ to a 2nd hdd M:\) I used MS word to open the M3U playlist file and simply use the find and replace feature to change every c:\ reference with m:\

You could try something similar ?

Bumping this up as I need to change again but I want to keep my play counts etc. Which means I need to edit the main WA database but I don't know if that's possible.
