Ok I have a 80GB IDE split in two. The C drive has vista installed and the E drive has XP. I dual boot. I used to use XP all the time but recently I have switched to Vista. As you know 80gb isn't a lot of space today so i bought a SATA 500 gb HDD. I install all my programs on to it and other bits and pieces.

My question is.
I want a fresh install of Vista on the 500 HDD and get rid of the 80gb HDD. but want to keep my documents which are currently on the 500 gb. I don't have time to backup all my stuff and then put it all back in.

Any tips/ programs.
Thanks

Disconnect the 80GB drive from the system, install Vista onto the new 500GB, once up and running re-connect the 80GB which will so long as your BIOS boot order is correct will not be booted from from and then you can access your data on it.
