Or use one of the junctioning programs to move it for you. I use "Steam Mover", yes it is supposed to be for Steam but can be used to juction any directory you want. Using these programs also allows you to easily move the game off the ssd when you've finished or need to free up space. I guess you would have to uninstall the game from the ssd if you didn't use a junctioning prog.
with BF3, i moved the folder then started a new download. i then stopped it after say 1% and moved the folder back then restarted download and it just jumped up to 90% and sorted itself out.
i could have been lucky though...
I created another folder on D drive (as my OS drive was filling up quickly with EA games) and then simply copied the downloads into it prior to changing the settings in the client. It downloaded a few tiny files but didn't start from scratch. Was very easy to do. Just watch the path you're setting it to so you don't select a sub folder etc.
