Moving OS partition to another drive

Hi,

Ive tried searching but failed.

Im trying to migrate just the OS partition to another drive. I have Acronis True Image, but it only do a 1:1 drive clone i.e. copy all partition to the new drive.

The drive OS resides on has 2 partitions and i just want to move the OS partition.

Is this possible?

Can you not just do a 1:1 clone, then delete the unwanted partition from the new drive manually? Or am I missing something?

the existing drive is 1tb. I want to move the OS partition to the 500gb drive. Not enough space to do 1:1 clone

TrueImage will do this are you sure your browsing to the right sections of the software?

Backup existing OS partition, restore it to the new drive, select whether you want adaptive partition sizing or not.
